There is is. If he were a WR or a QB, I'd be more willing to believe he may actually come back. RBs have such a short shelf life.

With two kids, a mother that isn't exactly financially set, there are numerous reasons to leave and very few to come back. You don't think that Lattimore injury is in Trent's head?

Saban has said repeatedly that if he has a player projected as a 1st rounder he encourages them to go out. With TR being the #1 back, I think it makes way more sense to set his family financially now--you can always come back and finish a degree if it means that much to you.

Alot! If your boss was to offer you $100k a year would you turn it down and say no I can live off $50k. No, that's ridiculous. If someone would pay me $100 million to do something I would take the money and go. But I don't see Project Managers getting money like that.

Not telling anyone what to think, but I wonder if Trent just got caught up in the moment and accidentally said his comment about another year. I believe he has absolutely no intention of returning. Even if he was a single guy I'd think he's gone, but he has the extra responsibility of two girls at home.

I let myself believe that Mark and/or Julio would come back last year (at least one of them). I knew Dareus was gone. When they all 3 announced it was like a dagger. I know, stupid on my part. Anyway, maybe it's the lack of crimson colored glasses I have on or maybe it's just preventing getting "hurt" again but I'm preparing myself 100% for Trent's farewell tour. I don't blame him at all.

Aww, I wouldn't blame him in the least if he went. I would as well, to be honest. I've been surprised every time a junior like a Manning says he's staying. I've often said I thought it was the wrong decision. Just from a fan's point of view though, it sure is fun to think he might be back running over defenders again for another year. I sure do love watching him play in crimson.

BUT... I still stand by the comment that I could live nicely on a cool million for the rest of my days. I don't need a hundred million. A hundred thousand wouldn't last me the rest of my days, so that's not an adequate analogy.

He made that decision last year. This is his senior year.

I'm assuming you're talking about Luck. He's not enrolling for spring semester. Apparently he's gonna be getting ready for the NFL draft.Good for him. He'll likely be the #1 pick and makes tons of money. I say he should do what's right for him and only he knows what that is. Fans who are detached from the situation can speculate or call him stupid for not doing what they think he ought to do. But, I'm all about not criticizing some kid who is trying to make a decision about his future based on whatever is most important to him. That goes for both Luck and Richardson.
