He's right about Illinois. Phil Steele has the Illini ranked at 17 and at 56 on toughest schedules. BB should finish no worse than 17.

It's a little weird how a computer model—and what it's said to be based upon— changes when the stats it's based upon haven't changed. That's a legit point.

CFBKings mentioned last season that the FPI was off and I recall reading where quite a few agreed (dealing with a few Big 12 teams and ACC teams, I think.) I remember the stories though not clearly.

The FPI is based, in part, on 2024. IF '24 isn't correct, it's impossible for this falls' FPI to be correct.

(Their three components, as I understand them, are last year's results, the current roster without new comers, and incoming freshman.
