We got off to such a bad start.. I forgot that sneaky onside kick and that during the broadcast they found out about “Tiger’s car accident”/ “Ellen’s sand wedge”. Today she would be charged for a hate crime.

I also love the way Coach Mac called a game.

The game was just so much different back then. CNS was so on top of his game and in his wheelhouse with the defensive approach & mentality.

Every time Bama loses a game its an instant "classic"... So there aren't many more re runs getting shown where Bama actually wins. I've got a few on Tivo but mostly blow outs. Would enjoy some of the games from that era... Some amazing talent on those rosters!

For so many years...i used my vcr to record all bama games...and then moved them to dvds... starting in 80-81 i had every bama game televised...that bama won recorrded...lol. And watched them over n over... ( i know....no life)....
Probably til 2018season....those on dvr but dvd recorded broke...
My favorite was watching the 92 season .....got to watch the season unfold til through the NC game.....
Still have em all....probably wont watch many again....

The 2009 IB was a fucking frustrating. We were more than capable of running the barn right out of the stadium. The main issue that day was, our guys looked like they just didn't want to be there. Much like Georgia did when they lost to the barn in the 2017 regular season meeting. Georgia was down something like 30-7 at the half in that game. Kirby was fortunate that he got a mulligan in the SEC championship game that year That could have been us in 2009. Fortunately in the 2009 IB, we didn't get too far down in a hole. Down 14-0 early was troubling enough. When we tied it up at 14-14, you could feel the crowd's energy leave the stadium.

The problem was, we went to sleep again and didn't wake back up until the 4th quarter. That 15 play, 9 minute drive was beautiful. That gassed their D and caused them to use up all they had left in timeouts. I liked the 2011 and 2012 IBs a lot better! Those were never in question for a microsecond. I'll never forget Chizik saying after the 2012 IB that the game had "gotten away from them". At what point when you lose 49-0 (down 42-0 at the half) does a ballgame "get away from" a team

If y’all recall, the team was late getting to the stadium, because of an accident on the interstate, coming from Montgomery where the team had stayed. The team did seem sluggish for awhile and sitting on that bus longer than expected sure didn’t help. Saban and all HCs are creatures of habit and routine. Hard to get off the bus, change and stretch and then hit the field when that isn’t your normal routine. Always some crazy voodoo bullshit that happens down there. Recall in ‘15, no rain for 10 damn days yet the field was soaking ass wet in an attempt to slow down El Tractorcito!!!
