Doubt if they would be appealing if he had been ruled eligible. Glad he didn't go to Bama. Not only would he be ineligible, but Bama would be on permanent probation. And only God(NCAA) knows how many lost scholarships.

I see this as way beyond suspension. Let's say this is all about sex. He is not going to get suspended because he had sex with a girl or because they think she might be pregnant.. He is going to be ineligible because the girl is pregnant or he is going to be eligible because she is not pregnant.

If I am reading this right you are saying his amateur status is in jeopardy. I wonder if the NCAA has grown a set and stepped up on this issue. It would have significance on M$U basketball signee Renardo Sidney as well.

If this followed protocol, NCAA would have announced their findings today I'd think. Although, amatuer status and a school's sanctions are probably held differently due to privacy issues.

One would think they would at least wait untill the ruling was released before appealing. However, nothing that outfit, nor the barn, does anymore surprise me.
