planomateo I added "rumor" to that thread titles due to Clay's role. I wouldn't put it past him for this to be a troll of twitter.

I'll wait and see what the SEC Network carries prior to moving to another cable provider. They've had enough time to get the scheduling filled with games, shows, etc. But something tells me its going to take a few years to get things really moving.

Also, for those of you on DirecTV, remember that we still have 6 months for the launch and this is likely to come down to the wire. No reason to jump now in my opinion, way too early.

I'm in the same boat with Plano. When I saw that Clay was the one who lit this fire, the worlds largest red flag went up. But, I wouldn't be too shocked by anything DirecTv did either. I have DirecTv, an have had them for years now. I've been looking for a reason to drop them and switch to Uverse. This would definitely give me a reason... to go along with poor (i.e. no) reception during rain and outdated equipment.

Those of us with U-verse...well, I'm not sweating this, at all.

For others this will come into play sooner than you may expect—depending entirely on your football viewing habits.

UofSC hosting A&M is a game I'll want to watch and it's scheduled for the SECN the first Thursday of college football. Our game versus WVU is slated for the ESPN Network.

Now, week two? Ole Miss vs Vandy has to be ESPN primetime. The rest of the SEC slate that weekend offers a mix between FCS and lower FBS teams. I can see TN vs Arkansas State getting a slot, San Jose St. vs Auburn might as well. Bottom line, we may be looking at the first SECN game being that second week of the season.

One reason why history is taught is for people to learn from mistakes. DirecTV people, do you not remember why you gained so much business from the Dish network a few years ago?

And while I agree, that Clay Travis is a complete (fill-in-the blank), these DirecTV tweets aren't too encouraging.

From what I was told by Uverse, they will show a free preview for the promotion of it but to get it you will have to upgrade to he top tier to keep it. Sometimes the dependability of the info is dependent on the certain customer service agent you talk to. It just was told to me a week ago. Not sure if its fact.

I have my doubts—though could easily be wrong—that U-Verse has published their pricing structure for the SECN as of now. I'm more inclined to believe the rep you were talking with thinks it'll be on the same tier that's required for channels like NFL Network, MLB, and all your Spanish sports broadcasting channels.

Assuming what you were told is correct, and also knowing the packages U-Verse sets up differs from one region to another, I do find it interesting that the B1G's network is available with one of their middle tiers but they plan on offering the SECN in their biggest tier? Makes me wonder what packages everyone here has...
