Former Alabama QB Blake Barnett will reportedly be on hand for the Oregon-Stanford game this weekend in Eugene, Ore.

Justin Hopkins of 247Sports is reporting that Barnett will take an official visit to Oregon this weekend, his first since transferring from Alabama. Sources tell Hopkins that Barnett will take all five of his allotted official visits. He took an official visit to Arizona State two weeks ago.

After departing Tuscaloosa on Sept. 29, Barnett enrolled at Palomar junior college in California. He is taking classes but not playing football, looking to graduate after the spring semester. Barnett is looking to take advantage of an NCAA rule that would allow him to enroll in another four-year university without having to sit out a year.

In the SEC, Texas A&M was reportedly one of the first schools to contact Barnett. Florida was also said to have expressed interest.

In football and certainly at Alabama, you best finish what you start. It was a very bad look. Barnett will be asked and reminded of that midseason exodus out of Tuscaloosa for the next 3 years. Provided he's still there.

I really, really, hope that he see his old group of players. Holden up that Dr. Pepper trophy, and the MVP is Jalen Hurts!

Outside of it being his "old" players, I would imagine that is exactly what he would see had he stayed. Unless he is the type that decides he sit back and do wrap-up time, and signal in the plays. It's obvious that was what everyone wanted, to have a good back-up to Jalen. That's a good plan, for everyone but the also very talented 5* Redshirt Freshman, that was supposedly, possibly, the best QB Bama has ever seen, being told to stand by for the next 4 years in case they need him. He saw the writing on the wall. The kid investigated and found what he thinks is the best option for him. Not a good thing for anyone, or thing, involved. Looking at both sides, I'm sorry, I can't decide to come down on one side of the other. Other than that, yeah, I hope he gets the chance to see Bama number 1, and Jalen the MVP and Heisman'.

Roll Tide!
