🏈 Report: Brian Kelly The New Irish Head Coach

Well, if he does end up going there, he will end up retiring soon. There is a ton of $ @ that school, but he will probably fall into the same category as Weis and the others...looking for a new job after about 3 to 5 years... Not a championship school like it use to be....Money does talk and I can't blame him if he takes the job..Notre Dame should be smart and hold out. If he doesn't make it to a BCS game in the next 2-3 years he will be rich, but looking for a job as an offensive coordinator at a D2 school.

If he is in fact going to be the ND head coach his new players at ND won't be able to trust a word he says. During player interviews after Cincy's game on saturday a WR was asked about Kelly leaving and the player said "Coach told us he wasn't going anywhere.... he likes what he has here....". So, if Kelly is in fact the new ND coach his word means ****.

I disagree, vociferously, on ND not being a championship school. All it takes is a good coach in South Bend. Hell. it's a better job than Bama for a coach in terms of recruiting. It's a "sit in your chair and interview" recruiting job...ala Texas.

I remember people saying the same thing about CNS when Alabama hired him. But i bet you these kids would run through walls for coach. And from the interviews i have seen on Rivals, our recruits respect coach, and it's really a non issue anymore.

I don't think it's going to matter to the players or recruits, as long as he wins!
