Yep that is what I have read and heard. Difference then there was not as much info to gauge in a fair way each teams competition. As I said it would be so Bama like as a true blue blood to pull this off. I would be one happy camper but they will need to be the mid season Bama to pull it off.

Consider what the 1926 Alabama team had to go through. First, a cross country train ride or more specifically multiple train rides. The Alabama team stopped along the route to practice then got back on a train to get to LA. When they got to LA they played the game (no small task after that luxurious and relaxing train ride).
