A friend and I are starting up a podcast and article webpage for thehashtag.us website which just launched. We are devoting one of our shows specifically to Alabama Athletics. Red Elephant Radio is the title of our podcast. In this episode we preview spring training and also talk depth chart.

RED ELEPHANT RADIO: The Podcast Dedicated Exclusively to Alabama Crimson Tide Sports – Hashtag Media

Next week we review the basketball season and preview the incoming recruits. You can find DCandDinky on twitter, Facebook, and instagram. Hopefully some of you will like it and will give us a listen from time to time. Thanks for any support. Roll Tide

We really need listeners as we are a grassroots start up. Don't plan on making money anytime soon but we love talking sports. Would be more than happy to take some questions for future shows and give you guys and the website a shout out

Are you cleared with the Red Elephant Club to use their trademark?

why would they need their permission? they don't use their name (just red elephant radio, there's no "club" in that title), so they don't really need anyone's permission. unless they copy someone else's name of their podcast directly, and that is trademarked.

The name of the podcast may change in the future but our boss currently has the trademark for Red Elephant Radio pending. It is ours. We will bring weekly podcasts on Alabama Athletics. Our other podcast Cover Zero will cover all sports and we discussed our mock draft for the NFL draft coming up. Our podcast and articles can be viewed on thehashtag.us under the DC or Dinky pages. Again, please give it a listen and know the presentation will continue to grow and get better over time including live call ins and guests. We would love to answer some questions in a segment also.

Just a thought about your callers during the show. As you have no doubt noticed from the Finebaum extravaganza, it's not the football-wise or formation-savvy, nor even the fair and balanced that rule the airwaves. This race favors the emotionally absurd, the loudest and most obnoxious will steal the hearts and set the pace. Tammy, Jim from Tuscaloosa, Darell, and a bevy of other SEC network superstars say it best, if you ain't nuts, you ain't happening. Don't think critical, think clinical.

How about Red Elephant Pizza? Wonder if they cleared the trademark with the club... also not to be confused with:
Red Elephant Foundation.
National Geographic's Red Elephants of Kenya
Me with a sunburn.. ( wait, that's more like a Red Hippo, but still...)

If you guys listen to the podcast, I think you will find it a great contrast to Finebaum. It is almost all information and is meant for entertainment only to those who are entertained by educated, informational discussion to Alabama Athletics. We are simply talking about a passion of ours for others to enjoy. It's not a perfect podcast but I think Bama fans will enjoy if you can find 30 minutes a week.

anything is a great contrast to finebaum. i can't STAND that p.o.s.

Always enjoy listening to podcasts,

This morning I was listening to The Championship Drive on the ESPN app. I don't think that's too bad of a podcast—most of the time. In a discussion about recruiting Chris Low made the comment (loosely paraphrased here) "one of the reasons there's the 25 limit is the SEC over-signing by signing 30, 40, 50 kids per class."

Why does someone throw out a number like that? 40, 50? Nutt's Ole Miss class was what, 36? Right after that the door got slammed—one class at Ole Miss.

I, like you, like podcast. Those centered on Bama aren't that informative most of the time ... tend to rehash the latest news.

Red Elephant is used in a number of contexts, not just a powerful group of boosters who conspire against aubrun.

A nice one here. I may have to find their beer for the can: red elephant ira | Laurelwood Brewpub
