I'm still in Coach Saban mode. Every game is a championship game and everything is on the line every time they step out on that field.

I'll have to get my phone to see if I saved the screen shot that was sent to me last week.

I wasn't surprised because I'm right there beside him. Rodney, over on TI, called for a double digit Tide win against UGA. I've been feeling that for a bit now.

Suspect secondary again...and a new QB.
Yeah, I’d heard that too. I’m just thinking of the overall talent level in Athens. Although, I do think they take a significant step backwards. I still think they’re better than the other 3 overall. I’m really not sure about auburn in voodoo-hare stadium, to be honest….

UGA- Just the 2nd road game of the year, but will be a much tougher environment for the offense to deal with than FSU. And while I like how UA matches up with them, it'll be the most physical team Bama faces, and that's an intensity that must be matched.

auburn- auburn could be #2 on this list or #4, it'll just depend what their record is at the time (playing for anything?) and if Jackson Arnold is playing to his potential. The Tigers schedule for the back half is pretty light though, so they could be reeling off wins and gaining momentum heading into that game. And despite what some may (or want to) believe, they have some good players on both sides of the ball this season.

South Carolina- I said the day the schedule was released that I did not like where this game fit in, and I still don't. It falls rIght after a revenge game against the Vols and before an off week with LSU looming. Nevermind the fact that LaNorris Sellers may be the most dynamic QB the Tide see's all season. He's a lot like Milroe IMO... raw in some areas but tremendously talented and can beat you with his arm or legs. I expect Bama to have their hands full that day.

Mizzou- I'd imagine if you looked by Mizzou's home record over the last 5 years, or under Drinkwitz, you'd see that they have a pretty strong win % (just a guess). I think they lost some pieces from last year's team though that will hurt them. Now, if they can get past Kansas and South Carolina, they should be 5-0 when Bama comes to town... that would ramp things up a bit. But I figure they'll be 4-1... and either way, I expect US to control that game.

This was probably the best year to get Georgia at their place in about five years. While we may not have the seniority we want, we are athletic and faster than this Georgia team.

Kirby has been dressing down his team for months with these new guys on campus coming in out of shape, not practicing hard, and simply not doing it the Georgia way that helped them win Natty's. Could all be pomp, but I think this is the year we wanted to get them at their place.

FWIW, BCR has UA vs UGA at 89 v 84 percent. (The only team equal to Bama this fall is OSU.)

if Jackson Arnold is playing to his potential.
(Hugh / Gus / Hugh / Gus ...damn, if one of them would leave already I could keep the two hayseeds separated.)

And I'm going to bring Petrino in the conversation...

If what I'm told is true—and I have ZERO reason to doubt this—Hugh is doing the same thing with Arnold as Bobby did with Mallette and then a MUCH larger degree with Tyler Wilson. Both Paul and Bobby thought they'd hit the bullseye with QB development making a choise NOT to pressure either QB during his time in Fayetteville: "it's too build confidence" was the reason BP cited.

They are doing the same with Durkin and Arnold...to the letter. "No pressure, let's build confidence."

As Bobby learned that works until you come across a team with equal and better talent. Auburn ain't that.

Handling him like that might not be a bad thing after how he was handled at OU... he supposedly got very little coaching and his confidence took a nosedive. You'll recall Littrell was fired midseason, and that move at least stopped some of his tailspin. But OU was an absolute mess (which makes their win over Bama that much more infuriating)... The WR room was decimated, the OL was on par with 5 construction barrels, and the offensive coaching was somewhere between non-existent and detrimental. Personally, while I hope he falls on his face, I think Arnold has the tools to be a pretty good QB. He certainly has the weapons at WR now to work with... I think they are only behind Bama as a group there. Their OL should be improved over last year too, but it'll certainly be better than what Arnold was dealing with at OU. And Freeze's overall QB resume aside, he's still an upgrade and I'd imagine Arnold is much more comfortable under an offensive minded HC now than he was under Venables.

USCe here
Like @Brandon Van de Graaff this has several layers starting with when it falls on the schedule. It's certainly not a blue chip ball club. (I've been in that rabbit hole since the Media Days concluded.)

Fact is, FSU has more blue chip guys than UofSC. I'd still take UofSC by a TD or more over the 'noles.

Here's what's freakin' crazy, Kev! I think Mike Bobo (who I think is a bit of a dodo) is a better OC than the one at UofSC. If the Gamecocks try to play conservatively I can easily see Bama 'runnin'' them.

UGA,
South Carolina
Barn
Mizzou

It takes mental toughness to go on the road and impose your will. Bama could do that most of the time the last 17 years. Last year not so much and going forward they still need to prove it...
