I agree, but just still think in the end Vandy will finish ahead of Miss State in the rankings with a better SEC W-L record but it is hard to overlook head to head competition especially when it came this past weekend. Let's just say I am trying to compensate for not realizing the two played this past weekend.

Porter's original question was: "If you had to rank the SEC teams as of today, 1-12, what would your list look like?"

If I were ranking them based on how the teams would finish by season's end, then my dozen would be somewhat different. I, too, placed MSU ahead of Vandy based on head-to-head competition at this point of the season.

Wow I just don't think that FLA is better than Bama. I am not the type either to be wearing the crimson glasses, but IMO Bama is a better all around team even though FLA has brought back all those starters.

I agree. To me the fact that they have brought back all of their starters on defense does not tell me that they are better, it tell me that they are the same. It tells me that any team that was up to par with them the previous year that has improved will be better. To me this is the exciting thing about college football every year is different and you have to deal with the changes.
