1. I know this is public knowledge already, but <?xml:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags" /><st1:State w:st="on"><st1:place w:st="on">Alabama</st1:place></st1:State> football will only get better from here. I don’t mean for this to sound ungrateful or mean, we have some awesome players that play with heart. But Saban is still in the ā€œprocessā€ of replacing 3-4star talent with 4-5star talent in a few areas on the team. If we can win the NC this year, I can't imagine what we will do in the future!

2. Unless the world comes to an end the next few years, Saban is going to turn <st1:State w:st="on"><st1:place w:st="on">Alabama</st1:place></st1:State> a football dynasty that may seem unthinkable in this era "the machine" strives for more parity between teams.

3. From what I have saw this year in college football, we should double Saban's salary immediately. There is a serious lack of good coaching these days and we are lucky to have him as our coach.

4. The NCAA has passed rules specifically to limit Saban already. I look for them to try and pass more rules in the future to limit him further from getting a leg up on other teams in recruiting.......This last NCAA letter has shown what they think of Bama. I shudder to think what they will come up with to stop us when we start being very successful every year and beating their precious Notre Dame, USC, or <st1:Street w:st="on"><st1:address w:st="on">Ohio St.</st1:address></st1:Street>? We had better watch our step. I don't think some would stop at anything to bring us down or attack Saban. We would get very little sympathy from the football world.

Good post. Comments on your points:

1) We are just simply reloading now. We are up to what, 21 recruits for the 2010 class now? We get a commit from a 4 star wideout from the state of Texas this week and it's met with little fanfare compared to the way it would have been, say, 4 years ago. I am becoming quickly spoiled to the spoils of riches Saban brings to this team.

2) Better times are here already and the future certainly looks bright. There will be losses along the way but they will be fewer and farther in between as long as things keep progressing. Our success won't be unthinkable however because Florida is already there and programs like Texas, OU and USC just keep reloading every year as well. (LSU intentionally left off that list!)

3) We just made Saban a nice deal. No need for drastic measures along these lines. No need for him to go anywhere else.

4) The NCAA has us under the microscope and will keep us there if we win 1 or 13 games. I am not sure if it's the remaining presence of Paul Dee or they screw with us in memory of Miles Brand but yeah, someone in Indy still hates our guts. Programs like USC will continue to get the free pass and programs like ours will get the sledge hammer to kill a fly approach. I am not sure what it's going to take to change this but we better be on our very best behavior and stay proactive. Days of being reactive to NCAA issues better be over or the NCAA a-holes will quickly take away the empire Saban is building. They seem to be the only one's that can slow us down right now and we don't need to give them an excuse.
