There was a report two, maybe three days ago, with Saban commenting on our fifth year seniors. The manner in which it was worded confused me a bit because it didn't fit.

Saban said there weren't any fifth-year seniors with eligibility remaining who'll bypass it after graduating.

Chad Lindsey played in eight games last season starting in four when Ryan Kelly was injured. Lindsey is also one of they players that has graduated.

From what I understand Lindsey is wanting to play in his last year of eligibility and with that in mind he's leaving the program.

He could still play guard, and if Kelly gets injured, he could fill in nicely there. I have no idea why he's transferring.

Gets to play immediately, wondering if he wants to play closer to home (Houston).

Actually, I see the positive in this. A center with more eligibility will get more experience during 2nd team OL play.
