Thanks Porter!! Wow that brings a smile to face to know we have him 2 more years. He is a man beast and I cant imagine what he will be like as he matures and gets stronger :shock:

It's always possible that Jones could choose to enter the draft after a stellar Sophomore season.

This is what my question was about. Can he leave after next year to enter the draft or does he have to play 3 years?

I believe the NFL rule is that a player must be 3 years removed from high school in order to be eligible for the draft. If Julio had been at a prep school for a year and then come to Bama for a season, he would be eligible now.

Ok thank you I was confused about the whole deal on eligibilty for the draft. So because he started as a freshman we will still have him for at least his sophmore and junior year and then he becomes eligible to leave.

Correct. He didn't redshirt, so he will have to wait until after his Jr season.
