🏈 Question? Does Meyer stay at Florida after this year?

While watching the Fla.-Tenn. game I couldn't help but ponder this Question I mean with Fat boy Weis at ND not being able to coach his way thru a game of BATTLESHIP and that being Meyer's dream job and no Tebow next year at what point in the season will this become a distraction for the Gators?

Will Meyer's agent be neg. a contract late in the season and Fla. trip up? before the SEC title game I mean I feel we have what it take's this year to seal the deal!

All of a sudden Gator fans sporting Irish gear! You know they are pulling for ole charlie! hehe!

My thoughts are the the only question is "How deep are the Irish's pockets?" They will not get rid of CCW without paying him as if he is still HC. Then ND will have to go toe-to-toe with UF and outbid ther Gators. You think the 4 million that CNS got was significant....

All this said, IF the rish have pockets that are deep enough, and IF ND were to tank by mid season, THEN you might see the rumors begin to leak into the UF lockerroom. That said, it could be huge because WHO would UF replace CUM with?

Gators are an Offensive-minded fan base, despote being one of the better Defensive programs in college football. If you lose you Offensive guru HC and your OC only has one year in the chair, do they go against their tendancies and bump up Charlie Strong? (Odd there, Hiring a Black HC and not being the first in your state to do so.)

Here's LBS guess: the Boise Coach (Peterson, I think). Sustained respected performance from Idaho. Winning record over 90%.

Not going to matter either way. Foley, the AD at Florida, is a proven winner and seems to have a way to find the best talent available. Whether Urban leaves or not, he will simply bring in a Urban assistant who will run the same offense. So it will be like having Urban in there all over again.

And if doesn't get a Urban clone, he will find someone just as good. They have a lot of money, tons of talent, and its a GREAT place to coach. We just have to learn how to beat them. The road to the NC goes through Gainsville.

On a different note, I am anxious to see how Urban's offense does without Tebow at the helm. I think Urban would go to ND if they offered him. He is looking for the bigger better deal. You can see it in his eyes.

I work with a number and UF fans, and reading between the lines this prospect it concerning. UF is fast, but speed is not as rare as Tebow is a unique commodity. That is to say, I think Bama's paower and balance more than negate the speed advantage they may have in a Tebow-less Offense.

Lol! Nice.

I think that conventional wisdom dictates that Meyer should stay at Florida and continue to build on his dynasty. He's at the pinnacle of success right now and has access to one of the top recruiting bases in the country.

Having said that, I do think that Meyer is an egomaniac and is the type of coach that would tend to look towards the next great opportunity. Notre Dame is a storied program that has been down for a while, and Meyer might see this as his ultimate opportunity/challenge in restoring their past glory.

I'm sure that Meyer considers himself to be the greatest coach in college ball, so what better fit that to coach at arguably the most storied program in college football. Seems like a perfect fit, and we know that Meyer covets (or at least at one time he did) the job.

I think that more than likely Meyer flies to Notre Dame in the near future. JMHO.
