🏈 Question Does Cutcliff get Duke across the goaline?

Against Elon and N. Texas. They will get closer to 200 yards throwing against us, nothing running, and struggle to score a TD. I say they get one, as you just can't get through a season without anyone scoring a TD on you....

Official score from the same guy who got the spread right last week.....ALABAMA CRIMSON TIDE 37, DOOK 10.

Didnt Bama struggle against a winless Duke a few years back? I know this team has a different coach and a different mindset. But they are young. I say Duke scores some points. I dont see how you can hold a team that has scored at least 40 points in 2 games to zero. No matter the talent difference.

Yep, that was Shula's last season, and we had Duke in Tuscaloosa. We won 30-16, very very ugly. I remember I was on my way to work the Monday morning right after the game, and someone called in on a sports show on one of the Sirius radio stations and said he was positive that Shula would be gone at the end of the season because the team lacked any kind of focus or discipline. The host asked him "well, if Shula is out at the end of the year, who do you all go after". The guy said without hesitation, "Nick Saban". I remember that being the beginning of hearing Saban's name pop up as a possible replacement for Shula and thinking how nice it would be. And here we are 4 years, a number 1 ranking, a national title, 2 SEC West titles, an SEC Title, a Heisman trophy and a 26 game regular season winning streak later!

To me, that's just the sort of arrogant question that comes right before an upset or a very close game. Respect your opponent, until you get between the lines. Just sayin'.

Pansy.

Yah, I think Duke will score. With this defense, you'll always have a secondary breakdown at some point during the game. Think about it...

I'm seeing Duke around 13-17 points Saturday. Bama? Over 40.

I think Duke may pose a challenge at first and put up some points.

What is scary is that David Cutcliffe's team is probably better than Tennessee.

What is hilarious is that David Cutcliffe's team is probably better than Tennessee.

With only two field goals surrendered so far, the defense is no doubt taking pride in that fact right about now. Duke gets into the red zone twice through big plays/turnovers - but they don't punch it across the goal line and have to settle for field goals...

Terry calming saying 13-17 translates to 20-30 in my mind.

I know, I know. I'm the only one that will be a little nervous come Sat. It's always the "what if" with me. Just have to hope the Duke defense is so bad that Trent can run at will. And yes, I'd prefer Trent. I'd just assume Mark sit most of this one out.
