With regard to Cam Newtons recent situation......Is it common for a kid and his family to hire a "go between agent" as a liason ? Obviously this takes place in the NFL but ive never heard of it happening in the college ranks.

There are certain services out there that were intended to get films of kids out to colleges that might not get sent by the coach. It really isn't as dominant now, with all of the camps that are out there IMHO.

The whole thing just stinks....Using a liason such as this guy ( that obviously knows some MSU people ) would be how a "under the table" deal like this could possibly be done. It would be easier for him to approach someone he knows and make the offer rather than Cecil Newton openly making an offer to someone he doesnt know. I just dont accept the idea that they asked this guys help in informing them about Starkville and how things are around there....total BS.
