šŸˆ Quarterbacks, quarterbacks, and … quarterbacks! That will be a prime topic among many at SEC Media Days this week for Alabama.

Jordan Rogers of SEC Network says it’s between Ty Simpson and Tyler Buchner … no mention of Jalen Milroe. I heard the same thing last Friday on an Atlanta sports talk show. I disregarded it since it was coming from puppy dog pundits. When I read Jordan saying the same thing today, I called a an old friend who works with one of the papers that cover Bama sports. Full disclosure, he never gives me the inside scoop on anything but in this instance he confirmed that’s what he’s been hearing too. Though he cautioned me to take all of it with a bit of salt as Saban’s a master at using the media to get results he might not otherwise get. I’m not quite sure how that would work here but I have no doubt whatsoever Saban uses the media and that he typically controls the message. Personally, I don’t care who wins the job. I just want to see Bama play inspired football this season and the QB will be a big part of that.

This is something that I am perfectly fine letting CNS handle this. I mean did ANYBODY predict Jalen Hurts the starter his freshman year?
As I recall it was a toss up going into '16 with the thought we'd know who has the reigns by the time they got to game four or five. Aside from USC, the first six games were expected "pushovers."

Exactly. Just like the year before when the QB situation wasn't handled until Coker took over the Mississippi game. I have zero reason to think it will not be any different. I just hope that one QB will the clear favorite by the start of the Texas game because we will have our hands full!

Just ready for this to be settled so we don't have to hear about it anymore. It probably won't end there, we'll hear about it almost all season unless the guy who wins it is playing at a high enough level to where there is no doubt. Regardless to who wins the job, we'll be sitting well at the position. All guys are capable of being productive for us. Both Milroe, and Simpson had ups and downs in the spring game, didn't help Simpson that he had a minor injury during it, but he still showed that he was capable of making big plays. Same with Milroe, he made some fantastic throws, and also some really bad ones, also had a few bad drops by his receivers as well.... had an awful interception on a pass he should not have made, and another one I won't count because it was a haul Mary attempt before the half. Buchner also has a ton of upside to him as well, just needs to refine a few things and he could turn into a reliable, and productive QB.
