| FTBL Pre Iron Bowl Meltdown

Its actually worth it to register. One thread is whining about how the national media is giving the Iron Bowl no respect. How they are overlooking it all together and talking about the SECCG. One of the AUBS pointed out the fact that they are 5-6 right now and he could understand how the media might see the Iron Bowl as not being as important this year.

The other thread is asking if Saban would run the score up on them this year. So they have already given up on winning and are now worried about us running up the score? I think after the chant of "F" Saban that came from the fans at Jordan Hare last year, that may actually be a legitimate worry.

Yep rammajamma, I'm actually a little surprised at the tone of concession exhibited in that "running up the score" thread.

Usually for a rivalry underdog there's talk of how records don't matter, but in this case, well it seems like some have already thrown in the towel.

Maybe the barners are hoping to lull Bama into overlooking them.

No. It's basic strategy. They are setting up a situation to where IF they are handed an *** whipping, they can point back and say, "we knew it was going to happen". It should help take the sting off if it does happen.

I've been practicing.

I'm still undecided on whether to go with the 4-3 or 5-2 finger option.

Then, should the larger number be on the left or right hand?

Anyone else considered this?

Very simple answer...

4 fingers on the right hand, 3 on the left, so anyone looking can see 3-4...because that's the defense that'll hand their demise.

If it's pre-game, he could do two on the right and five on the left to show everyone what their recond in the SEC is this season. Post game though, he'll need to grow another finger on his left hand.

I got an even better idea.
the barners don't need two hands.
One will do rather nicely.
Matter of fact.....

Use the right hand with 3 fingers & thumb down.
Leave the middle finger up so all the aubs around him can count that finger.
And that finger will not only represent what the aubs can do with all of their fingers, but the fact that Coach just beat the snot out of em for the 1st time @ Bama, and that he's got the number one team in the country.

Sigh, Fingers and toes. = Aub Calculator.

Yes, but trust me I wasn't knocking Darby, it wasn't his fault the other team knew we were going to run that play 3 out of 4 times.

All the media can talk about is the SEC championship game. It's just kind of dis-respectful even if the last game Alabama played was a 1-AA team. You still give respect to that team and at least mention them as a sidenote to the discussion. Much less an instate rivalry game with a top (maybe not this year) SEC team. The media has no character, I know that's probably a given but it really shows why we shouldn't give a darn what they say.

Give me statTiger's posts and a couple other members posts here and I'll be happy with the news reporting I receive.

Am I missing something there? Who was the 1-AA team that we played in our last game? Could have sworn we played Mississippi State.
