...and I'm not going to quote Iverson here.

Last year, about this same time, we had three starters who were getting a few reps with the second team. The majority of their reps were with the 3's.

Dont'a, Julio, and Mark Ingram were the three that came to mind this morning reading over some of the comments...

Bottom line—it's far too early in the camp to make any judgements based on where guys are lining up and with what personnel groupings they are spending the majority of their time.

Could the older guys be showing the freshmen the "ropes"? Then again, it could be to see how some guys react to certain situations.

I would think that and seeing what others around them could do if they were to be around the #1s. It's harder to evaluate, for example, a QB's worth of moving up to 2nd string, if he's supported by and going against the 3rd string. Same for other positions.

So Darrah still has a chance?

I don't know if you are being sarcastic or not but from what I saw of the spring scrimmage and from what someone told me that was at Fan Day practices on Sunday, Darrah looked just as good as anyone for the number 2 spot. It wouldn't be the 1st time that a walk on has contributed at the QB position at Alabama if he were to be called to action this year. May the best man play!

I agree. Star needs to work on his accuracy. Watch the offensive practice videos.
