Since Alabama doesn't really want us reporting on injuries, the daily practice report in an exercise in daily repetition. To that end, I thought I'd give our readers a little something different. Every practice I'll choose a different player to feature. Today it's Jake Coker.

Strengths: Big, strong, athletic and moves well for his size.

The positives are obvious to see for Coker. There are areas for him to improve on, however. He is sometimes slow with his decisions. He is sometimes inaccurate in his ball placement to receivers.

During Thursday's practice (throwing against air, meaning no pass rush or defensive backs) he showed plenty of arm strength and nice technique in stepping into the throw. On one throw he put the ball perfectly so the receiver didn't have to wait on it and another he led the receiver perfectly. On another throw he waited half a second too long and threw behind the receiver. On a fake jet sweep screen pass he threw the ball well but didn't lead the receiver up field. On another play-action throw he threw a perfect ball up the seam to Robert Foster and then another beauty to Chris Black on the exact same pass. On the last pass I saw, he was late and high on a curl route to Foster.

Below are two throws I captured during practice. Not much, I know, but it is something to hold you over.
