Just an observation...

You see Sims throwing with two other guys, Ely and Sims.

Who's not in that drill? AJ. He's probably working with our starting WR rotation.

Ely is putting the most into every drill. That fits with what the players have said about him in the 4th quarter program as well. Sims seemed to just be casually walking through the drills.

Great arm strength, very quick release, very economical throwing motion. I'll show what a geezer I am. He reminds me of Namath before he hurt his knee.

It's an interesting story to follow, but not one I'm concerned with in the least. It was more of an observation on Ely than anything. Kid is hustling and simple drills like he was in a 2-minute game with no time outs.

Good work habit to have. Is this something he just picked up or did he practice the same way in high school?

Sims accuracy and arm strength looked pretty good, although it did not look as though he was stepping into every throw. Maybe it was just me.

Well, with the exception there is no people in my place spending money. That's not a good thing..

Ely probably knows he will have to bust his rump to get on the radar in practices. I imagine the kid has had that work ethic from the beginning. AJ and Phillip will continue to be in everyone's spotlight but Ely will be getting his name mentioned more than one might think by both players and coaches. His ethic will make that type of impression.
