Thanks for the cams Terry. I haven't been able to watch Tidesports videos ever since they went to Rivals. Anyways, you hearing anything about Dee Hart? Think he'll get to see the field his freshmen year?

But for the jersey number, doesn't he look like Trent? It was not until the two of them appeared in the the same image that I could see the Trent was indeed taller and thicker.

Have we established a body style yet for a Nick Saban running back?

Reminds me of a story...when he was first on campus I heard him asked what kind of OLmen he wanted to recruit.

He point at the door, said "he has to duck to get through and turn sideways..."

Granted, we aren't to that point with athletes these days...but geez. EVERYONE comments on how big, strong, and athletic our team is...

I really haven't paid much attention to him. I've been more interested in reports on the LT and a few other spots.

The kid that strikes me as "oh chit?" Trey DePriest. A few of the pics I've seen? He looks like he's a RS Jr.

DePriest looks very impressive. I noticed he and Sunseri running with the 2s and both looked in tune with the schemes.

Just gotta say, D Hart seems like a good back.

Makiing him a pure RB is a bad idea. He can do alot more than be a scat back. I hope the ultimate goal is a HB/WR hybrid, because thats where I think he fits.

Que?

I don't understand that, at all.

Scat back? When have we used that position in our offense?

Half-back or H-Back?

He doesn't have the size for the later, and we don't use the former.

He's looked good coming out of the backfield on short passing routes this spring...something we use a lot in our scheme.

He's been mirroring Trent all year. Even though that's who he's working with, he's still got a handful of players he'll need to get by on our "depth chart."

Would he be along the lines of a Shaud Williams type back (both size and style)?

Right now they are almost identical. But, that's comparing Shaud's SR size to Hart as a true frosh.

He's got the frame to add some weight and not lose a step.

Dee is, in my opinion, more agile than Shaud and has better cutting ability. If he can build his power base, which is good as it is, he'll be a truck next season...his sophomore year.

different skill sets at the same point in their "career."

Shaud could evade someone, easily. Dee can as well as Shaud, but he can also just run over them. That wasn't Shaud's strong suit.

Two different schemes as well...hard to make a comparison in a few years to results on the field.

gThats all me typing at 1 AM halfasleep.

But D. Hart has the build of Chris Johnson. Chris johnson is a great back, chris johnson is fast and elusive......

....Chris Johnson gets taken down by arm tackles...Chris Johnson cant push the pile to save his life...

What I was getting at is whhile Dhart looks like a good traaditional RB, he is not a good one for the style of smashmouth offense we run and needs to play a versatile position. Thats gettiing popular in the pros too.. Or something like that.
