🏈 PJ's Football Picks - Week One!!!!

A new season is at our doorstep, and with it you'll have to endure a new season of PJ's picks. Last year we picked all games involving SEC teams, plus games involving our soon to be SEC members, Texas A&M and Missouri. For the new season we will continue to pick all games involving SEC teams, and will throw in two games a week of some national interest.

To spice things up a bit, we've added a "pickem" that is not like your typical board "pickem". In our contest you can pick straight up, or against the spread, or both. After each pick there will be a link to that game over in the Crimson Casino, and you can wager your hard earned Bama Bucks on your opinion.

All 14 SECteams are in action this week, with only USCe and Vandy playing in conference. We will be looking at Southern Miss/Nebraska and Boise St/Michigan St. as well.

I believe Tennessee will get upset by NC State...

Where I see things a little differently isn't in outcome, but in your scores.

La Tech beats the spread vs A&M. I won't be shocked if that one is very close late.

Arkansas won't be Jacksonville State by that margin.

That's one I can't wrap my mind around.

It's odd looking at a Spurrier team and seeing the inability to break the 21 points scored mark over the last five years against Vandy. Opening at Vandy puts this game in a bit of a different light in my mind.

The last time they opened this early (it was the 2nd week of the season) they lost to Vandy. Now, last year it was week four and they (UofSC) won 21-3.

The O/U opened at 46.5. There hasn't been that many points scored in this game in the last six years. In Spurrier's time at UofSC, they've scored that much in this game once—first contest in 2005. It's been the U four of the last five, a P in '08.

Yah, I've looked at this game a bit...still think UofSC wins straight up...
