Growing up he was one of my favorite at GB

During a practice in 1960, a steel coaching tower, weighing around 1,000 pounds, blew over and fell on top of Ray Nitschke. The tower had a bolt sticking out that pierced Ray's helmet.
Coach Lombardi rushed over to see what happened. Upon realizing it fell on Nitschke, he proclaimed, "He'll be fine. Get back to work!"
Nitschke was tougher than steel.

Everyone made it to the meetings. Now making the drives, after the last night, to Dallas and catch the flights back home on time is another story.

After nearly 10 years, the old Kamado grill gave up the ghost last weekend. Memorial services throughout the week.


New Kamado grill to arrive this Saturday.
