Sir, I was the driver of the car, my brother took that one out the passenger side window using my Nikon s6300 point n shoot. We were just outside of Yellowstone headed toward Cody on around June 10, 2017. the other pics were made by me. I have over 400 pics from that 5 week road trip which includes RMNP, GTNP, Yellowstone, the central and southern shore of Oregon, Yosemite, Arches, Zion, North Rim GC, Canyon Lands, Mesa Verde NP, and Albuquerque. I did not make pics in Vegas, it was too hot to breathe, 116 the day of arrival and 117 the next. It was not much better in St. George which was our next stop. We were in Cali for a few days and went to Sequoia NP, but it was closed that day because of fire. I will be posting a few more pics in the coming days.

I was thinking that was Yellowstone, due to the fire damage to the trees.

Sounds like a great trip! Didn't sneak in a trip to Glacier? I want to travel the US for a year or so just getting out to see the sights.

This is one is Yellowstone Lake from 3-4 years ago I believe.

Glacier was in my plans before leaving Alabama. But with having serious lung disease, I began right away struggling with the thin oxygen at our first destination, Estes Park Co, RMNP. , as I do not have medical oxygen or a concentrator. I was advised by doctors in Laramie and dr clinic in Grand Teton, I should either leave the higher altitudes or get a concentrator. So I decided to go ahead and see Yellowstone for my second time, my brother's first time, then forgo driving the Beartooth Highway and seeing Glacier and just head west to the coast of Oregon. I am still disappointed in missing it. Maybe next time I will have more sense and be more equipped for the thin air.

There is also tremendous amount of pine beetle damage all over the west. In the background of the bighorn shot, that may be more beetle damage than fire. But yes Sir, there is enormous areas of fire damage in Yellowstone, Yosemite and in many areas.

Beartooth Highway is pretty cool I remember seeing photos from my in-laws they'd go up after the passes opened in the spring, it's only a few hours from their house in Billings. They'd be standing next to huge snow banks, 20'+. I'm looking forward to camping up there when we finally move up to Montana. There are also some offroad trails up there I'm looking to hit.

We've had numerous trips to Glacier cancelled due to fires. We finally got up there 3 or 4 years ago and it was amazing. We didn't hike very much, so once we get moved up there, we'll be about 2 hours south of it, so we'll have an opportunity to hike it more often.

@planomateo I have not had a reason to travel into Birmingham (live in Alabaster, just 20 minutes south) since the construction began. I've lived in the Birmingham area nearly all my life. I have never seen this kind of a view by the BJCC. This is amazing!

I want to say the last time I drove this was back May 2017 or January 2016, the last two times I was in Alabama.

I also went to the before/after page. That view of the Red Mountain Expressway is a really good look. It's the same view my mother had in her last hospital room a few years ago.
