I am no doctor but looking at him this past weekend he doesn't look healthy. I did stay at a Holiday Inn Express in Alexandria , LA back in 2009.

That whole recharge line tells me it is something personal. Might be a Meyer take-a-year-off type thing or might be more serious.

He is a west coast guy. From what I here Washington was his dream job. Can't see him coming east.

I don't think Peterson is wired like some of you think he is. He's a take the road less traveled kinda guy.

He turned down Southern Cal before when he was at Boise State. Jimmy Lake very well could give them the jolt Washington needs to take the next step.

If all of that is true then his DC might be the perfect person to kind of be an "interim" guy and then when Peterson is all good again he steps back into that spot. If they do really well with him gone that could mean that his DC ends up getting another job somewhere else or Peterson moves on. Win-win for everybody.
