USC's beat writer said last night that the agents for Gary Patterson (TCU's HC) and Kyle Whittingham have both expressed interest.

I thought Mike Riley was the sure candidate, but after the extension he signed yesterday with the Beavers, I'm starting to get nervous.

Not with the impending sanctions coming...USC will find it hard to get a big name.

USC is stocked with talent, but it's probably a situation very similar to what we looked like around 2001. NCAA sanctions possibly looming, lack of discipline on the coaching staff (lots of turnover there), and plenty of people playing around outside of the boundaries. Of course, SC would never get what we got, but still, it'll be a rebuilding situation. The Trojans run of dominance is over. I thought they might bounce back next year, but with Carroll leaving, all bets are off.
