If the reporting is accurate, he has made a major mistake with his life and the life he took. I don't see how he will avoid jail time.

In my opinion, this is not a mistake, its a tragedy. A life was lost because of a supposedly drunken driver. For the life of me, I do not understand how anyone gets behind a wheel and drives after drinking. This is so sad because someone lost a loved one. Heartbreaking to read the story. I pray that all of the families can find some comfort and closure.

Depending on his contract, yes and they may be able to claw back money already received for bonuses. And the inevitable lawsuit is going to be for millions. Ruggs has only received something like $11 million so far. He's not going to have anything left from his brief stint in the NFL.

Well, Ruggs will get some time to figure things out and start over from the bottom. His own fault so no sympathy from me for him on this one. Tons for the person he killed and their family.

The report that I read basically indicated that the girl didn't die from impact injuries, but because she couldn't get out of the car while it was burning. Two good Samaritans tried to extinguish it but couldn't. Just gut-wrenching.

Ruggs' attorney(s) just have to hope LVPD screwed up on evidence collection, which is a slim to none hope in a case like this. And even if they did, he's still badly f'd (as he should be).

Lots of folks were reposting his own twitter videos of him previously driving very recklessly. I am sure those will appear in court to show he has a history of such things. He brought this on himself.
