šŸ“” Per TMZ, former Alabama and current Las Vegas Raider Henry Ruggs was involved in a serious car accident this morning.

Apparently Ruggs wasn’t seriously hurt but that’s as good as it gets for him. Police say he was intoxicated and behind the wheel of his sports car which caused the fatal crash. I seriously doubt even a star NFL player can avoid jail time in this situation. Of course, an ex-NFL player committed a double murder and walked so never mind.

In the blink of an eye, his career is done. It's sad because it was stupid and so easily avoidable, especially with his resources. Now, he's going to lose out on millions and he's going to lose his freedom for a bit (barring some major miracle working by his attorney). The worst part of all is, an innocent person died. Really hard to feel too sorry for Ruggs though... but my hope is lessons are learned by others from it.

The NFLPA has partnerships with companies for exactly this situation. Not sure which one they are using this year but Uber and Lyft both have provided black car service for them in the past. I find it doubtful he will get off without punishment (probably no jail though) and the lawsuit from the families of those killed may bankrupt him. Just sad to see one quick decision destroy multiple lives.

When will people learn that all decisions have consequences? The decision doesn’t affect you alone!! Awful decision that led to a tragic consequence for multiple people. Prayers for the family that lost a loved one and prayers for Henry. He will have to live with this consequence for the remainder of his days. Being locked in a cell will provide him plenty of time to rehash these events over and over and over again.

He also has to worry about the female passenger in his car who was also transported to a hospital. You know what I’m talking about. Could have been a cleat chaser with minor injuring that now become major when she sees his career earnings are about to take a huge hit. ā€œMy back, my back! I mean my neck, my neck!ā€

He took a life with stupidity, he has to pay for that just like anybody else!

And he won’t get probation because Nevada law prohibits probation for that particular charge
