šŸˆ Per teamrankings.com, Alabama has played the 5th toughest schedule so far, the hardest schedule among all the undefeated teams.

You musta watched a different USCe vs Bama game. They gave us all we wanted for 4 quarters. We were/are the better team and talent win out... but USCe played very good.
Check out the stats from the game.

Watched the game....don’t worry about numbers....except scoreboard....that be @TerryP the accountant's job ( just jabbing u Terry)
I didn’t see anything USCe brought to the game excea few trick plays....and some stats after the game was decided...
And agree...USCe played very good...as I thought Tx AnM did...considering difference in overall talent

Whe best kicker in cf ( uga kicker) misses a chip shot.....
USCe played with 3 rd string qb...
Terry....it was a fluke win....usce is not GOOD ....uga is good...
Flukes happen...it did...
One, UGA doesn't have the best field goal unit in the SEC much less college football. Florida, Auburn, Vanderbilt, and Tennessee have done better this year.
UofSC did play with a third string quarterback and beat the #3 team in the nation. Mano vs Mano. Georgia came in that game lauding the #1 run defense in the SEC only allowing roughly 70 per game. UofSC doubled that...in Georgia's house.

I'm curious. Did you watch the game? Mukaumu ate Fromm's lunch all.day.long. ... and then Fromm fumbled another away.

A pass bouncing off a helmet, or a shoulder pad, that just happens to land in a receivers hands when he's full stride and the score wins the game. There's a fluke.

Beating a SEC team, on the road, like UofSC did. An accomplishment.

It's likely the 2nd best win in school history (although I've heard it mentioned as third.)

Right.....and like Texas AnM and ole MS did to bama in previous years...didnt mean either were great teams....

The uga kicker is pretty dang good....would take himat bama any day

Sure a schedule can be defined by 2 games....Bamas 2 vs lsu 2.....the other 4 are a wash....no stronger...no weaker....its the top 2 that makeup strength of schedule...so far......
Alabama playing Duke is a tougher contest than LSU's game against Georgia State, Northwestern State, or Utah State (as three examples.) It's more challenging mentally and physically. The suggestion they're equal, in any measure other than a notch in the W column, has no foundation.

In fact, you're taking two teams and saying those wins mean more because they're better teams when compared to two others. And then in the next breath arguing the exact opposite—how good a team is, when compared to another, is "a wash" is saying there's no difference in playing Duke or Northwestern State. By that Bama's win over Duke is a wash when compared to Texas and LSU's. Bama's win over UofSC is a wash compared to LSU's win against Florida. (But damn...Bama's on the road there...which is ironic considering we're talking about UofSC and UGA in other thread.)

Whether or not this ranking sits well or ill with people has no regard here. How the ranking is compiled, and misconstruing that as the reason the ranking is flawed, is a flawed argument in and of itself.

That's the whole point of my first reply in this thread ...

You're focusing on two games in a six game season. It doesn't work that way in rankings like this.

Well..you lost me in some of the logic?? there...
But let’s TRY and figure this out....
Duke was more than those for sure....not by much...
Just point is this.....
Lsu vs Texas and Florida.....
IS.... so far....
Better than bama vs usce and tx AnM...
That’s what i judged it on...but watching lsu...wasn’t that impressed .. or in Florida
......thats all.....but come nov 9....it aint gonna matter who u have played...
I know we can agree on that....

Duke was more than those for sure....not by much...
I'm still shaking my head at this notion which includes a Northwestern team that hasn't won a ball game this season...or Georgia State, geez...are we to the point of saying Vandy's better than Duke this season?

Oh well ... these discussions happen

Ga state beat an sec team. Vandy well they r vandy

Fun discussions anyway. Lot of time its just how one perceives the non- provable
Kinda like the weather. My weather says its 50% for sat nite. tuscaloosa news says 20%. Puts ms50+ in a tizzy about what to pack n wear for game

Which is why I was shaking my head about their exclusion from this conversation. Yep, says a lot about Tennessee to start the year. That same Georgia State team lost to Texas State the weekend Bama was playing Southern Miss. Texas State was beaten by A&M by five touchdowns to open the season. It's an obsession that I spend time watching these things. But, they tell a story.

When you look at who these teams are it really weakens the drink...as in the case of Georgia State who isn't as strong as you think they are if you're basing it on Tennessee; especially UT in the first few weeks of this season.

It is funny you call this no provable when statistical measurements do just that: prove it. These measurements tell a story each and every time. Hell man, we just went through this pretty deeply with the Auburn vs Florida game. We came to the same conclusion then ... I look at games differently than you do. It applies to teams as well (which is sort of saying the same thing šŸ¤·ā€ā™‚ļø )

Yea!!!!! We agree!!!! We look at games and teams differently.... sometimes new information arises that can change an opinion. Nov 9 will bring forward some new information
As will Wisconsin vs osu game.
But stats don't tell the whole story...often!
Like ga state-tn. Scoreboard said one thing but really ga state isnt beter team ( nor was byu...or usce vs uga)
Til then.....
