I can hear Joe Pa at the pep rally talking about our history facing teams on the road and the school having a "color-out"

If the end result ends of being the same as say Georgia's color out ended up I'll admit I'll be snickering at a few teams on our SEC schedule.

I think MSU tried one against us as well. The only "color out" I really ever liked was UT's versus USCe. The orange numbers on the black jerseys actually looked good. 2009 I think.

They did. Two teams; UGA and MSU.

There was another school that started the idea last year, I think, but it was shot down quickly. Arkansas maybe?

I remember the uni's...still hate orange, not a fan of Halloween either really...and that's all I could think about during that game. Disgusting candy...

Hell, I probably had a bad taste in my mouth with the first few minutes of that game.

That USCe/UT game probably had SOS growing ulcers on his ulcers, as much as he dominated UT in the 90s. A royal but kicking that night, and at Kiffie's hands at that.

So are to not look like a PSU fans Bama fans should wear Crimson...which is not the same color as the team they are rooting for?!?

Home team gets the choice. I looked, briefly, but didn't see what they wore at home last season...

In college, the home team always wears dark. They don't have a choice. Pro teams can choose if they want to wear dark or white.

Well... you couldn't distinguish by the color of their shirts, but I get a feeling when the game starts, we'll all know who the home team is... But you're right, why white us out??? We will be the ones wearing white!!

Teams playing each other in a game must wear jerseys of contrasting colors. NCAA rules call for the visiting team to wear white jerseys and the home team to wear colored jerseys. However, the home team can wear white during a game if the visiting team has agreed in writing to allow it. Such agreement must be obtained before the season begins. The rules also allow a visiting team to wear a colored jersey instead of white, if the home team and its conference agree before the game that the colors are still contrasting--for example, the home team in navy blue jerseys and the visitors in pale yellow.

You are right. The home team can wear whatever color they want, but the visiting team has to agree with it.

That that answers a question I guess...I still wonder if it is in the original agreement between the schools.
