šŸˆ Pay increase was UA's idea; Contract extension was Nick Saban's idea

I believe with all my heart that Saban is a hired gun. One of the best hired guns in the business of college football. He was hired to do what he does best, and that is win. IMO if he didn't win his next season at Miami, he would have been fired. The reporters who are so critical of him know that, but won't admit it. His hands were tied in the NFL, and he didn't have the players to get the job done at that level. Recruiting pays better dividends than drafting imo. When he came to LSU I thought "Who is this big ten coach? He doesn't know what he's getting into in the sec." After the 2003 season I coudn't stand him cause he was beating us effectivly, but I knew he was a great coach. Did he bleed crimson when he took the job? I don't think so. Does he now? I don't know. I'll bet he knows he's coaching at one of the greatest football institutions in the country, and it's evident he is putting his heart and soul into this program. It was worth going through the Shula era to have this man as our coach now. I wouldn't trade him for Meyer or Carrol , or anyone else. I may be in the minority, but I wouldn't be surprised to see him retire here.
