To a post earlier re: Stinson playing this weekend... That is going to be a good barometer on how this whole thing is going. He sits = UA has a bigger issue on its hands. He plays = It is a more isolated issue with a player or players who are no longer with the program. The way Saban worded things yesterday, it's the latter and Stinson is good to go.

Eh, I don't know. after reading that report, it doesn't say a whole lot other than that the email/text exchange occurred after the 2011 season. Barron could have received money from a courting agent after the season that they were trying to recoup, which wouldn't have affected his eligibility at all at that point. They'll need a whole lot more on Barron than that to endanger the 2011 season.

Just my opinion, but I think the media is pushing their agenda of getting players paid in anyway that they can. I've hardly seen any sportwriter as of late on the side of not paying college athletes. I think they're trying to show that they're getting paid, whether we like it or not, and as a result they SHOULD be paid. /.02

They are not out to get "us" or other teams. They are out to abolish the NCAA as they (the media) want a semi-pro league. They see the NCAA for what it is. Big time football = big time money for all involved (media, schools and the NCAA).
