Netflix was set to purchase Warner Bros. Discovery, but pulled out at the last second. The following day, Paramount swooped in and inked a deal to buy WBD...which also owns CNN. That concerns some at CNN who say they wouldn't be too keen on working for David Ellison (his father, Larry Ellison is an ally of President Trump, hence the concern of CNN staffers).
The deal still has to go through Justice Department regulators before it can be all finalized, though.
