Russo has a point here. And, it pretty well matches what many forecasted about what the playoffs would do to the other bowl games.

I caught this last night. The deleted tweet referenced: "enough with all the participation trophies." (sic)

I have been saying this for years in discussions about poor attendance at lower bowl games. They don't care if anyone is there or not. Just have two teams on the field when the TV camera comes on.

And I'm one of the ones watching with no real interest in who wins or losses. But, still, watching.
