🏈 OT, sort of. "Bamanation Hot Sauce"

I actually just got an e-mail from the Crimsonsauce guys. First off they told me that Publix, Western Markets, Piggly Wiggly, Bruno's, Southern Family Markets, Food World and Winn Dixie should have it anywhere in Bama and he also gave some suggestions on mixing the sauces and what not for a 'less spicy' sauce for the wings (some of my people dont want it extra hot unlike me). Pretty helpful dude.

Since it isn't available here on the coast I shot an email out to Rodney about how to order it. He volunteered to send me a bottle and did.

Honestly, I like it a lot. A LOT.

As a fan of hot sauces (you should see my pantry) there are some out there with more "spice." (as in heat)

BUT, this has a great flavor!

I cooked some beans Saturday which were ready for the chili Sunday...made a small batch, but the flavor was definitely better that most of the other recipes I've used in my lifetime.

Now, as a caveat...

I use a mixture of herbs in my cooking. With this chili recipe I'm on now it includes some herbs like winter savory, rosemary and lavender.

This afternoon it's going into my "homemade ranch dip/salad dressing" recipe. Then, basted on some baked chicken breast...

It'll RAWK.

Again...thanks, and plenty of them, go out to Rodney for helping a fella Bama fan out!!!

Hm, interesting. I was on my way home last night and stopped to get gas. I went up to the counter and lo and behold about six bottles of it sitting there for sale. I debated getting it but I didn't wanna spend $7 to get something I may not like. After reading this I might have to run down there while I'm out today and pick me up a bottle.

Let's put it this way. I'm a bit of a dichotomy.

I love a good drink and a good smoke. But, on the same end there are very few things in my pantry/fridge that aren't organic. At the least, no preservatives. This doesn't have any. So, on the "healthy" end of the scale this fits perfectly.

Couple that with where I live...there's not a lack of VERY good food found in this area of the country. Yah, bottom line...I'm a bit picky.

Here's the thing. I've been working on a cajun type injection for turkey. I've been through a handful of different hot sauces and still can't find that right flavor. I'm thinking this has hit the mark. I've got some rainbow peppers dried and ready to go so I'm dropping the cayenne for the kick and going with those.

The only thing I'm lost on right now is the choice of a crab boil or some sort of chicken stock...

It's worth the seven bucks.

Wow! That settles it then, I'm picking up my bottle and making chili tonight. :hyper:

Heck I emailed Rodney to see if and where they'll be selling it in Ga. and he emailed me back asking for my address and sent me a bottle on the house! I'll admit I was shocked to see he was sending the stuff! Awesome guy and his hot sauce is DAMN good! I'm not just saying it to be nice, this stuff is good! Next trip over to Alabama I'll be picking up several bottles!
