Mike Maggio is both an Arkansas circuit judge and a passionate LSU football fan. Alas, getting too wrapped up in the latter has (for now) prevented him for advancing his career as the former.
On Wednesday, Maggio ended his campaign for a seat on the Arkansas Court of Appeals after he came clean as āgeauxjudgeā on the wildly popular LSU message board TigerDroppings. Hereās a selection of some of the questionable comments āgeauxjudgeā posted, per NOLA.comās Emily Lane:
TigerDroppings (and college football fan message boards in general) contain comments that are equally if not more disturbing than Maggioās. The only difference is that those other commentors arenāt judges.

- One post about baby names commented on the name of University of Alabama football player HaāSean āHa Haā Clinton-Dix, who is black, suggesting someone with his name or others like āTaneeshaā or āBryleeā wouldnāt become a doctor or banker. āStick with something close to normal,ā he said. āOr come sit in criminal court any day and see the ācommon names.ā ā
- Another suggests women should stay married to their husbands who have cheated instead of getting divorced because they are better off financially.
- A Jan. 17, 2012 post by āgeauxjudgeā contains possible confidential proceedings involving actress Charlize Theronās adoption of her son, explaining a ājudge friendā of his handled the case.
- Another post about a woman arrested for having sex with a dog, Maggio apparently posted it was ājust a small stepā from having āTGGLBSā sex, an apparent reference to transgender, gay, lesbian or bisexual sex.
TigerDroppings (and college football fan message boards in general) contain comments that are equally if not more disturbing than Maggioās. The only difference is that those other commentors arenāt judges.
