🏈 OSU just beat our spring game record

Well, yes and no.

Ohio State fit that many in their stadium.

We had to close the gates and turn people away...I'd bet there were another 10-15K outside the stadium trying to get in.

Just take a moment and think...

about how the intensity of every aspect in college football has taken a rocket into orbit since we hired Coach Saban. 99.99% of every conference involved in football has been effected in some way. Be it spring games or pay checks or recruiting or just plain ol coaching ability. I'm not saying that there is comparison to CNS, but, things sure have been ramped up to a point that there is a lot worry and hurry in some of the mid-major and lower conferences in college football. Can you blame this one on CNS too, why not. Im just saying that since his hire, a lot has happened. On the other side of this, you have the UAB's of the world...barely 500 in the stands, It's crazy

"Bunch of idiot rednecks with nothing better to do."

This is still a case of the people on the outside looking in.

I've seen comments today that really made me chuckle.

"92K at $5 is > 92K."

"It's important now because we were laughing at you fellating over Saban..." but now it's an impressive accomplishment because they donated to charity.

I'll readily admit this is a blanket statement and doesn't include every member of every fan base. There are a lot of fans that don't see a lot of importance in a spring game. A lot, that think it's "just a practice."

To them, that's probably true.

But, there is the majority that don't see the same support from their own fan base and because they see that support from a few it's something to make fun of instead of something to recognize and appreciate.

That last statement...the one that said "I thought it was funny because of fans fellating over Saban."

Funny looking at that now, isn't it?

A show of support for a coach knowing what we were going to accomplish with him.

Three top 10 ten recruiting classes, two of them among the best in the nation.

12-2 record in his second season, with an undefeated regular season.

Personally, I look at that fan and the fan base he's a member of and can only compliment them on having 45K show up for their spring game considering the coach they have chosen to support and the reality of where that team is...

That spring game we had was FULL to the max. Turning fans away too.
Ohio St may have broking the record for a spring game. But you have to look at this too.
Ohio St. Stadium Cap is 102,329 Spring 95,722
Bryant-Denny Stadium is 92,138 Spring 92,138:td:
Ohio St may have broking the record , but the stadium wasn't max out either.

ROLL TIDE ROLL!!!!!!!! BABY!!!!!!

Glad to see something about the Big 10 shows up big before September.

Perspective:
Columbus, Ohio finally gets a sunny day after a long cloud-covered winter and the fans turn out. Big city, ideal weather conditions, good turn out - finally.

Tuscaloosa, Alabama starts the day with rain and the fans turn out. Small city, rainy day, second highest turn out ever...and still larger than any other turnout OSU has EVER had - Par for the course.

I've been waiting for someone to make the crack...you came close.

tOSU has finally beaten an SEC team at a football event...but not really.

I agree I think if they had the weather we had in T-town early on...that half of those people wouldn't have shown up. Ohh well, that is the only thing they seem to be able to beat Alabama at.

I will behave myself now.
