🏈 Osama Bin Dabo

Just dumb!! Saban caught ALL KINDS OF HELL about his Pearl Harbor take after ULM. This will get brushed aside as “good ol” Dabo just being goofy.
He could’ve just as easily said,”because of our success the last couple of years, I have to sneak in and out of the state on some of those little used country roads!”
Using your name in comparison to one of the most wanted men of all time for committing acts of terrorism on US soil. 3,400+ people lost their lives due to that asshole. Poor excuse for a joke!!!

Bullshit, he ain't hiding...he walks straight into Alabama and says I whooped Alabama's ass on 3rd downs all night long. Then he says, have you seen my recruiting class for 2020. My opinion, he's talking shit right now and he's backing it up, like it or not.

Dumb thing to say, but I don't think he meant it in a harmful/insensitive way.
Yep. And @UAgrad93 put it....saban said something that offended the haters also...
When those haters do their hate then they find something to hate on....
Dabo hasnt backed down on his religious beliefs...on his teams play....not nuthin...same as Nick.

Just depends mostly where we are on the political horizon. When the US was heavily involved in the war in the middle east, players, coaches were constantly getting corrected and ridiculed for using terms like warrior, soldiers, battle or most anything else associated with actual combat. I think I still hear the terminology as much now but apparently, with the political climate these days, the media is less sensitive about the terms. So it goes.

With Dabo, I don't really personally care what descriptive terms he chooses, just keep noticing the Bama obsession he has after the season. Not sure I heard all this jocularity when we waxed them the year before. Coach Saban has always done a good job of moving on from the particular team he beat. It has always been about winning. Something else he and coach Bryant always did well.

I get his lame simile, but it was still a poor comparison to make. This is yet another instance of why I don't want him to replace Coach Saban (and if I'm in the distinct minority here, so be it). Dabo and I went to UA at the same time; you'd think I'd be pulling for this guy, but he doesn't know how to keep his mouth shut. Good ole boy folksy rambles don't compare to winning on a consistent basis. Yeah, he's doing the latter right now. He's got a cupcake conference he's sailing through and his recruiting is fantastic, but he really needs (spoiled Bama fan comment here) to take a page from Coach Saban and just let all his teams' actions speak for themselves.
