It's infuriating that Hatch would try to cheapen Bama's title this way. How typical of him.

Why even keep score of games anymore!?!? I mean the losing team of a ballgame get's their feelings hurt when they lose. So in this everyone's a winner world, why do we still allow stick and ball sports to keep score??? I mean these guys feelings are what matters. Since nobody invited Boise to the CG I suppose they deserve to display the trophy as well!?!? Is there a Wal Mart in Boise that crystal football can make it's next stop at? We need to check into that asap!!!

One team beat five teams ranked in the top 10, and 11 bowl teams.

Boise beat just one team who actually won their bowl game - Idaho, who beat Bowling Green.

This whole Boise State thing ticks me off. If you're gonna be part of the BCS and if you're gonna mitch and boan 'til you get a BCS bowl, then you ought to abide by the BCS rules for naming a champion. Same thing for USC in 2003 when LSU won the Crystal Football.

Sen. Hatch,

First, let me start by saying that I respect you. But, you calling for Boise St to be invited to the White House with Alabama is disrespectful and a spit in the face for the University of Alabama. Compare the records and you'll see that the rightful national champions are Alabama. The National Championship was determined on the field, Boise played seven teams with losing records, and a D1AA team. Boise beat just one team who actually won their bowl game - Idaho, who beat Bowling Green. Alabama beat five teams ranked in the top 10, and 11 bowl teams. For you to say that Boise should get the same National Champion respect as Alabama is disrespectful and if the President decides he likes your idea I hope and pray that Nick Saban and the University of Alabama declines to come to Washington D.C.

The Utah Utes argument last year I could understand, but your Boise argument holds no water. You tell the AD at Boise St to schedule some non conference teams that are half decent and then you can argue with the way the National Champion is determined. I dispute the way you try to cheapen Alabama's title this way. I would think you'd be more worried about the economy, government spending, etc rather than making sure a poor little school in Boise got a hug and felt all warm and soft inside.
