Award-winning author James Andrew Miller, in partnership with Cadence13, announced the upcoming release of three chapters of the podcast series, Origins. And Alabama head coach Nick Saban and the Crimson Tide football team will be the subject of the first chapter.

Chapter 3 of the podcast series, which will premiere Aug. 8, will be titled Origins of a Champion: Nick Saban and Alabama’s Crimson Tide, and in it, Miller will attempt to answer the question, “Why have Nick Saban and his Alabama football team been so successful?”

The podcast will feature interviews with Saban, his wife Terry Saban, longtime Crimson Tide strength and conditioning coach Scott Cochran, former New York Yankees manager Joe Girardi, former Alabama offensive coordinator and current head coach at Florida Atlantic Lane Kiffin, former Tide players Barrett Jones and Greg McElroy and ESPN reporter Tom Rinaldi.

“We see Origins as a big buffet table of our culture, with particular emphasis on television, sports, movies, music and other elements I’ve reported on or simply love,” Miller said in a release. “These three upcoming chapters of Origins reflect our commitment to entertain listeners and provide new insights from the most essential individuals involved.”

Chapter 4 will go behind the scenes of Saturday Night Live “to reveal preparations for Season 44, including interviews with legendary producer Lorne Michaels, various cast members and key personnel sharing stories and insights,” while Chapter 5 will celebrate the 20th anniversary of the HBO series Sex and the City by “going back to the show’s beginnings” with the cast.

“Following the enthusiastic response to the first two chapters of Origins on Curb Your Enthusiasm and ESPN, we’re very excited to take this series to the next level with three strong and surprising new stories,” said Chris Corcoran, Cadence13’s chief content officer, in a release. “Origins has been a perfect programming model for an audience that loves to learn and be entertained at the same time.”
