Personally. I dont think its good without a lot of rules that would keep it from being a game

I can see that benefitting new coaches to see how they stack up, but I don't want a team like ours scrimmaging Mississippi State, Auburn or Vanderbilt per say. Nothing to truly make us better that way. I'd rather them face off against one another, in our home stadium, and get better since we know we have a loaded roster...like we do now.

I have beat this horse to death about Brando, but every time one of these topics about his hubris comes up, I want to go kick Pat Sajak in the nuts. When they held try-outs to host Wheel of Fortune, it came down to Sajak and Brando. The rest is history.

Used to do spring and fall scrimmages in High School Football, but there were always fights/things that would happen on the field. Much like the NFL joint practices have a lot of fights and stuff, which is why a lot of those are not televised. Not sure how you handle a situation where someone is fighting for a starting role and things get out of hand/heated quickly.

A “spring game” doesn’t make any sense at all. Someone needs to tell Hugh Sleeze that those even went away in HS. With transfer portal now, kids that are being counted on to contribute could literally put some “tape” out there in a Spring game and be gone the next week!!
