🏈 One of the best days of my life.....

...so my husband and I, plus two other couples decided to go to Athens and tailgate for the weekend. We purchases a tailgating spot to spend the day in, amongst the Georgia faithful, since my husband is a UGA fan(ha!).

We had no tickets for the game at all. We were going to try and see if we could run across some tickets or just enjoy the atmosphere. I overheard a radio station advertising that they were giving a pair of tickets away every hour on the 45-50 yd line if you won a contest.

I told my group we needed to walk to the area they were set up and try to win those tickets. They told me I was crazy and it was to far to walk blah blah. Well they walked with me anyway and we went to enter the contest. You had to set up a tailgate spot and have the fastest time for that hour interval.

Well.....my husband and I won!! We won 2 tickets of our choice. I cried like a baby. Since it was my idea, I picked the tickets, and we chose right behing the Bama bench.

This was my first Bama game EVER! It was truly a memorable experience that I will never forget. My husband swear I brought them bad luck but I had nothing but good luck the whole day.

I have attached some pictures for you....quite a few! No real action shocks because I was jumping up and down, screaming my head off. No time to take pictures. Enjoy!

(Guess which one is me!)

Awesome story to read. Glad you got to experience one helluva game. BDS might not be as roudy and loud as a blackout UGA game but you gotta check out the Iron Bowl this year or Miss St. game. Those will be some must see's IMO. Thanks for sharing the pics!

Most welcome. I really should have tried my luck. Maybe I will win some tickets or find some cheap. My next goal is to go to a game in BDS, my first was to see Bama play. I can not wait to go to Tuscaloosa for my first time.

Roll Tide!

My husband was absolutely sick. ;pu It was a long silence back to the car. He cheered for a total of maybe 5 minutes the whole time we were in there. My hands were so red and they were stinging from all the clapping. I also think I ran off at least 8 UGA fans from around me in the second half because of my screaming.

You don't have a sister do you? LOL!!! Must be a BAMA fan too! :D

Thanks guys. I come to this site daily and keep my dad filled on info he has not even heard of. He asks me now what is going on.

I will be in Tuscaloosa soon enough and hope to have him by my side. I would enjoy nothing more than to have him at a game with me and watch the Tide win!

I have become a little obsessive. I cried like a baby when I won the tickets and my hands shook when the team and Saban came out(they actually shook the whole game). I was in total shock the whole game and star struck.

BTW I do have a sister

When you come to Tuscaloosa, you should try and make it here in time to attend Saban's radio show at Buffalo Wild Wings on the Thursday night before the game. You have to get there about 5pm or so to get a table, but it is worth the wait. You'd probably enjoy it...
