🏈 On the subject of defensive drills: "The Oklahoma Drill."

the Oklahoma drill is an excellent teaching drill when set up properly and it was my favorite. You could have O-line practicing blocking there guy to the correct hole, d-line practicing getting off a block and getting to the tackle, a ball carrier practicing ball security and follow their blocks and a live form tackling drill in a confined area for linebackers and secondary. People who don’t like this drill have never played or coached

If you want to reduce head injuries and targeting type hits it comes from more practice of good technique.. not less.

secondly, bull in a ring was the most physical drill and one where people stop using good technique and get hurt.
