šŸ“” Ole Miss looks like it is blocking Shea Patterson's attempt to become immediately eligible at Michigan.

He should get to play this year. I’ve always thought the waiting to play for a year transfer thing was absolutely stupid to begin with
How so, it would essential turn into free agency if they allowed them to transfer and start immediately...
I've seen two instances within the past year where Baker Mayfield was calling the upcoming plays for the OU defense based on what he knew of the teams they were facing--teams he'd been a part of.
I can see where that’d be an issue, but good coaches can get around that. If they leave as a graduate transfer that same problem could arise, but they don’t freak out about that. I’ve always believed that if a coach can up and leave whenever they want then the student athlete should at least if he wants to transfer be allowed to play right away.

Maybe this is the root of the NCAA questioning Patterson?

In his filing, Patterson said he found "a trustworthy, high-caliber coach" with "values, integrity and leadership qualities" in Michigan coach Jim Harbaugh.

I'm under the impression that with the sanctions being handed down that the seniors can leave for another school and play immediately? Given the way these players have been lied to and with the type of sanctions handed down, I wouldn't have any problems with them all being able to go. If the NCAA is thinking about letting players transfer and play immediately if a coach gets another job, this seems a good bit more egregious than that.

Seniors are allowed to transfer when there's a bowl ban. A school just being sanctioned doesn't enact that clause.
