[It Takes Eleven]

I’ve had the same wheelbarrow since 1993. When we were building my house in Bham, my Dad bought me an all steel version with a no-flat tire. It had soft foam handle grips that promptly slid off, but the rest of it is intact. Due to the rigid tire, it’s a pain to push on soft ground, but a joy on concrete. I’ve built four houses with it, hauled many loads of mortar, concrete, rock, gravel and dirt, and I’ve never pondered “losing control” as I shift my hands to dump it.

On the other hand I moved several yards of topsoil last year, on three different projects, along with quite a bit of sand for a pool and something like that would have made the job easier. I have some concrete bags that are being dropped off this morning. It won't help there. I will be rebuilding some raised beds this upcoming spring...it will come in handy there with a new okra bed. That's going to be a lot of soil.
