šŸˆ Ok so what are the best case scenarios for the rest of the season?

I stand corrected--it appears under the SEC tiebreaker, if Arky beats LSU Bama would win the tiebreaker and still go to Atlanta

I was analyzing everything last night and I was wondering who would win a three-way tie between Arkansas, Bama, and LSU. LSU beat Bama, but lost to Arkansas, and Arkansas lost to Bama. Seems like a huge tie. So how does Bama come out ahead? Not questioning it but I'd just like to know! ;)

This is what we should look for two weeks from now. Arkansas needs to beat LSU and we're right back in the thick of things… as long as we win out.
Of course, Stanford losing to Oregon and/or OKSt losing to OU would probably put us ahead at 2 even if LSU is still 1st…

But sure, a Sugar Bowl against Boise is fine with me. We could finally show them a real SEC team.

In a 3 way tie between Arkansas, LSU, and Alabama, the first tie breaker is the BCS rankings. So, if Alabama stays ahead of Arkansas in the BCS tonight, and Arkansas can beat LSU in the last regular season week of the year, Alabama could still slide into the SEC championship game.

IF that were to happen, and assuming Bama wins out, that would probably put them back in the BCS championship game, assuming either Oklahoma State or Stanford drops one before then.

As it stands now, LSU, Oklahoma State and Stanford control their destiny. Boise won't make it.

I disagree. Yeah, he's been inconsistent but, damn, you have to do your job. we were in position to get points 5 or 6 times and you can't miss those chances in big games.

Under other circumstances, I would agree. Not this time though. Cade hasn't been consistent from 45+ all year. Didn't he have one come short by 10 yards and actually get returned a few weeks ago?

The first miss I didn't have a problem with. But the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th? There was NO WAY they were going to hit those. Coaches HAVE to know that. And they do.

I think it's who is ranked highest in the BCS, but I could be wrong. If we keep winning and Arky beats LSU, it would depend on which of the three is ranked highest to get in to the SECCG.

Everyone knew that was asking too much from him, he just cant kick from that distance. Punting the ball and putting their backs against the wall just seemed to be the more logical play

yeah but we all know he can't do that either. we can count on 1 hand the number of decent punts he's had all season. he simply can't kick long, and that's a problem when you're the "LONG" kicker. we should've just gone for it on 4th every time and would've been better off. or, no worse off.

10000000000% Correct. Everyone knew that was asking too much from him, he just cant kick from that distance. Punting the ball and putting their backs against the wall just seemed to be the more logical play.....but im not the coach.

Cade took the field only because, and only after the 11 Crimson Jerseys leaving the field failed to do their job.

When the Offense failes to score a single point given and entire game, blaming the kicker for failing on 3 snaps during regulation is as stupid as blaming the Kaboos for the train wreck.

Don't count OU out yet. If they win out, beating a #2 ok st on the road, with a Stanford loss, I could see a very tight race for #2 with OU/Bama. Depends on how much credit OU gets with beating a #2 on the road of course. But its not far fetched.

Just imagine if LSU and OKSt lost. Perhaps a Bama vs OU matchup? Highly doubt it but it's an interesting thought. :hyper:

Ummm..... i never blamed the kicker for anything. It was unfair of the staff in my opinion to put him in that situation to start with. Every player has their limitations and asking our kickers to make those field goals was way outside of their limitations.

To punt the ball 40 yards is alot easier than making a 50 yard field goal and the field position is flipped. That being said, if the FG,s are made.....everyone is a hero...if not, we are left with what we have now. But past performances have demonstrated the inability to make long kicks.

The offense is to blame. Cade tried to make the field goals, but our "long" kicker isn't capable of making 50 yard field goals. Our defense did it's job, but that offense was pitiful as was our offensive calls. Instead of trying to kick field goals we should've punted.

But, at the end of the day we lost and need to move on.
