As someone put it on ESPN radio, Ohio State is the neighborhood bully who can whip every kid on his block. The problem occurs when he steps outside his block.

Well said. They would get destroyed in the sec. I think Vandy would beat them.

Yeah, Tressel needs to go!

Since becoming Ohio State's 22nd head football coach, his team has won a National Championship, achieving the first 14-0 season record in major college football since Penn went 15-0 in 1897.[1] He has an overall record of 75-16, including four Big Ten Conference championships, a 4-3 bowl record and a 6-1 record against arch-rival Michigan.

He should be run out of town.

Lol. I love it. He is a great coach no doubt. Bad run of things lately in terms of big games but he no doubt knows how to put together a football club.

Yeah, I agree. I think he has a knack for getting together some phenominal talent...but when it comes to coaching them to thier potential he's a little laking. You could say he's got the Les Miles syndrome...well...maybe not as bad. But that's all just my humble opinion.

Tressel has a reputation as a class act. I have a theory about his problems. They are able to dominate the Big 10 because they are well coached and have better players than their competitors. They run into trouble with strong teams outside their conference because they are so seldom challenged within their own league that they don't "get it" about the level of intensity that is required to play at the highest level. Consider the way that the barn and Georgia struggled against at best middle of the pack competition and you understand the difference between the SEC and the Big 10.

I wish my favorite team had been beaten in the last 2 BCS Championships. Seriously, what the hell is everyone talking about? Think of the money alone. That's 34 million dollars for 2 football games. Yes, they have to give 40-50 % to the conference, but holy sheet! Fire Tressel? Hell, they should name the damn stadium after him.

Tressel's Shoe, the only stadium with a vest.

I hate pre-season polls and polls in general until after about 5 weeks into the season. We all know that these rankings are based on how they did last year and on their reputation of being successful. It's alot like high school rankings. Ohio State is overrated alot like the Barn was underrated in '04. Troy could give them problems this weekend. I wouldn't be shocked if Troy pulled it off. The Big 10 can't handle the spread and the pressure that it puts on the defense, unless they are playing the Barn who seems to have no clue as to how the spread is run.
