Personally, I think Gilbert is handling himself pretty well considering the situation. He's only been in on mop up duty and he seems fairly comfortable.

I have a hard time feeling bad for Gilbert and Texas. I grew up a Baylor fan and my whole family went to BU so we have season tickets. They were up 40-0 at the half and still put Colt back in to play until halfway through the 4th. Instead of leaving Colt in to pad his stats, they should've been playing Gilbert to get him acclimated in the chance that he'd face this kind of situation. This is on the coaches.

Just because you have a commanding lead and don't want to run up the score, that doesn't mean you can't throw the ball. Just enough to move the chains. Why not throw a pass to Colin Peek or Preston Dial?
